Benidorm Fest 2027

RTVE’s song contest in Benidorm: 18 acts, semi-finals on 26 and 28 January and the final on 30 January. Artists include Merche, Rossa, Chema Rivas, Bombai and Ladilla Rusa. The music week in town starts on 23 January.

Benidorm Fest has been run by RTVE and the Valencian regional government since 2022, but its roots go back a long way: Benidorm's song festival was first held in 1959. The first winner was Chanel with “SloMo”, who went on to finish third at Eurovision. For 2027, 896 songs were submitted and 18 artists made the final list, from Merche and Rossa to Ladilla Rusa and Bombai.

📍 Schedule and venue

All three shows take place at the Palau d'Esports l'Illa: the first semi-final on Tuesday 26 January, the second on Thursday 28 January and the final on Saturday 30 January. In previous years nine artists performed in each semi-final, six went through, and the result was decided half by the public and half by a professional jury. According to Benidorm's tourist office, tickets go on sale in November 2026; prices and start times have not been announced yet.

Whether the winner will go to Eurovision is still unclear: Spain did not take part in the 2026 contest and, according to Spanish press reports, is unlikely to go in 2027 either. The festival itself goes ahead regardless, and according to Diario de León the winner will get to record a song at Spotify's studios in Stockholm.
