Torrevieja’s patron saint festivities: the pregón on 15 November at 12:45, a charity market on 22 November, the novena from 28 November and the flower offering on 5 December at 17:00. On 8 December the solemn procession, with fireworks by the Casino, follows the 18:30 Mass; no exact start time is given.
The Immaculate Conception (Inmaculada, or Purísima) is Torrevieja's patron saint, and her festivities stretch over almost a month. They open on 15 November at 12:45 with the pregón in the Iglesia Arciprestal: this year the speech is given by Amparo Cos Boj, with music from a chamber group of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra. The programme was presented by the parish, the Real Asociación Hijos de la Inmaculada and the town hall.
📍 The main days
On 22 November, from 9:00 to 13:30, a charity market runs in the Poniente courtyard by the church, with sweets, pastries, tapas and rice dishes at modest prices. From 28 November to 7 December there is a rosary, novena and Mass every evening at 18:50. On 5 December at 17:00 the Magna Ofrenda Floral makes its way along calle Moriones and calle Caballero de Rodas to the church doors; groups must register with the Concejalía de Fiestas, white flowers are recommended, and it ends with the Salve Marinera.
8 December is the main day: Masses at 9:00, 11:00, 12:00 and 18:30, and after the evening Mass the procession leaves Plaza de la Constitución along Caballero de Rodas, Clemente Gosálvez and paseo Vista Alegre before returning. At the Casino the statue is turned to face the sea, the Spanish national anthem plays and fireworks are let off. Residents along the route are asked to decorate their balconies, and anyone who wishes can walk in the procession carrying a candle.
