A joint tour for Mocedades’ 60th anniversary led by founding member Izaskun Uranga: boleros and Spanish-language classics.
Mocedades grew out of the Uranga sisters' trio in Bilbao in 1967, and in 1973 their song Eres tú came second at Eurovision. Today the group is led by founding member Izaskun Uranga; the set includes Eres tú, Tómame o déjame, La otra España, Amor de hombre and some newer songs.
Los Panchos formed in New York in 1944: two Mexicans and a Puerto Rican who created the trio's recognisable guitar sound. The first voice today is Rafael Basurto Lara, who joined in 1976. Expect boleros such as Rayito de luna, Lo dudo and Si tú me dices ven.
📍 Good to know
The evening is at the Auditorio Internacional de Torrevieja: not the municipal theatre in the town centre, but a separate hall at Partida de la Loma, next to the Quirónsalud hospital. Tickets are sold on culturatorrevieja.com and vivaticket.es; the organisers ask people to buy only there to avoid scams. The show runs 90 minutes; before Torrevieja both groups toured the Americas with this programme.
