Torrevieja cancels cultural events during official mourning

Torrevieja’s Municipal Institute of Culture “Joaquín Chapaprieta” has joined the three days of official mourning after the Urda train crash and cancelled all its events from 29 October, including a Saul Jazz Band concert and the play “Don Juan Tenorio”. Tickets bought online will be refunded automatically.

Which days. According to the town hall’s text, events are cancelled from Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 October inclusive; the subtitle of the same notice says “until Sunday 1 November”, so check the status of any event on 1 November before going. Cancelled events include the Saul Jazz Band concert in the “Viernes de Palacio” jazz series and the Municipal Theatre School’s production of “Don Juan Tenorio”. No new dates have been announced yet.

Tickets. Tickets bought on the official online platforms will be refunded automatically in the coming days to the same card or account used for payment. The notice does not say how tickets bought in other ways are handled, so ask at the box office or the Institute of Culture.
