From 2 November, urban bus lines 1 and 2 will no longer end at the hospital but continue to Avenida Doctor Gregorio Marañón, so residents of Los Altos, Punta Prima, Rocío del Mar, Los Balcones and Lago Jardín can reach the centre without changing. Line 2 returns to Avenida de la Asunción and Avenida de Torrevieja, and line 8 gets a new coastal route to La Mata.

Until now, residents of the southern urbanisations had to change buses at Torrevieja University Hospital. Lines 1 and 2 will keep their hospital stop but continue to Avenida Doctor Gregorio Marañón, 7, the last stop towards the centre.

Line 1 links Los Altos, Punta Prima and Rocío del Mar with the centre, and line 2 serves Los Balcones and Lago Jardín and returns to Avenida de la Asunción and Avenida de Torrevieja. Line 8 gets a permanent route along the redeveloped Paseo de Los Locos to La Mata. The changes apply from 2 November.
