Alicante nearly doubles the collection of rubble and bulky waste

The city says it collected 12,509 tonnes of rubble, bulky items and garden waste from January through July, 87% more than a year earlier. It attributes the increase to larger collection crews and a second recycling centre; this is collection volume, not a measure of waste generation.
