Three months after work began, the redevelopment around Elche’s Martínez Valero stadium is about 50% through its budget. The €3.2 million project adds new roads, two roundabouts, wide pavements and a green corridor and is due to finish in early 2027.

Work covers 24,490 m² and is being carried out by PAVASAL. On Avenida Manuel Martínez Valero, water, sewers, lighting, telecoms and irrigation are in place along half the route, and pavements and tree pits are now being built. On Avenida José Esquitino Sempere the kerbs are going in.

Elche CF fans and people in nearby neighbourhoods should still allow time for diversions on match days. Once the works are finished, access to the stadium will be easier and greener, and it will be simpler to reach the stands on foot.
