From 5 November, pensioners living in Spain can apply for subsidised 10-day stays at thermal spas under the Imserso 2027 programme. For stays from February to August the deadline is 5 December 2026; there are 199,000 places in total.

The Imserso thermal programme means 10 days (9 nights) at a spa with full board, a medical check on arrival and the treatments prescribed by the spa doctor. Stays run from February to December 2027. Applications for February–August stays are open from 5 November to 5 December 2026, and for September–December until 12 May 2027. There is also a waiting list for places that become free.

You can take part if you live in Spain and receive a Spanish retirement or permanent disability pension; there are other cases too, such as a widow’s or widower’s pension from age 55. You must be able to look after yourself and have no medical reason against the treatments. A spouse or partner can come along. The easiest way to apply is online at sede.imserso.gob.es, with no digital certificate needed; questions on 912 667 713 (Mon–Fri, 9:00–18:00).
