In short
Torrevieja’s official tourism website lists two taxi services: Radio Taxi Torrevieja on 965 712 277 and Teletaxi Torrevieja on 965 101 611. According to Radio Taxi, it has 70 vehicles and works around the clock, and you can book by phone, by WhatsApp on the same number, in the TaxiClick app or with the form on its website. Below: where the ranks are, which fares are officially published and how to get to the airports.

Taxi ranks
On its website Radio Taxi Torrevieja names ranks at the hospital, at the local police station (Policía Local), on Plaza de la Constitución and in La Mata. The town hall’s tourism website lists a taxi rank among the services at El Cura beach. Neither the town hall nor the taxi service publishes a full list of ranks with addresses, so booking by phone or app is more reliable, especially in the evening and in summer.
La Mata, La Zenia and nearby towns
La Mata (Torrelamata) is part of the municipality of Torrevieja, so the same services go there, and Radio Taxi has a rank in La Mata. La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and Punta Prima belong to a different municipality, Orihuela (Orihuela Costa). A trip there from Torrevieja, like one to Guardamar or Rojales, leaves the town, so the Generalitat’s intercity fares apply (see below). Radio Taxi says it serves Torrevieja and the towns of the Vega Baja.
We found no official list of Orihuela Costa taxi numbers on Orihuela Town Hall’s website. For Guardamar, our directory has a taxi with municipal licence no. 8.
Fares: what is officially published
Trips within Torrevieja. Urban fares are approved by the town hall, because Torrevieja is not part of a joint taxi area (Valencian Taxi Act 13/2017, art. 18). A 2024 town hall document says no urban fares have been approved since 2021 and that a separate bylaw on them is being prepared (file 25677/2024). We found no approved urban fare table in the official bulletins, so we do not quote amounts: go by the taximeter and ask the driver or dispatcher for the price before the trip.
Trips to another municipality — the airport, La Zenia, Guardamar, Alicante. For these the Generalitat sets maximum intercity fares (taxes included). The current amounts were approved by a resolution of 18 December 2025 (DOGV, 30 December 2025) and apply from its publication; taximeters had to be updated within two months.
- The special fare applies from 21:00 to 07:00 on working days, Saturdays included, and all day on Sundays and national, regional and local public holidays (Order 9/2017, art. 2).
- The intercity fare runs from the start to the end of the trip; you are never charged for the car’s empty return (Order 9/2017).
- Radio Taxi publishes its own fixed airport prices on its website. That is the company’s offer, not an official fare: confirm the price when you book.

Alicante and Murcia airports
Alicante-Elche (ALC). According to the tourist office, the airport is about 40 minutes away by road. The Costa Azul bus (line L40) runs non-stop from Torrevieja bus station at Calle del Mar, 40 — about 40 minutes according to Aena; check the timetable for your date on the operator’s website. At the airport the official taxis are Elche taxis; from Torrevieja the intercity fare applies. Full details are in a separate guide.
Murcia (RMU, Corvera). The tourist office also gives about 40 minutes. Aena lists the Airportbus service on the San Juan – Torrevieja – La Manga route, stopping in Torrevieja and La Zenia; departure times are on airportbus.es. Taxis at the airport are Radio Taxi Murcia, phone 968 248 800 according to Aena; the €37 fixed fare from the airport covers central Murcia only, not Torrevieja.
According to the tourist office, the nearest stations with AVE and long-distance trains are Alicante (50 km) and Orihuela (30 km); intercity buses run from both.
Buses instead of a taxi
According to the tourist office, Torrevieja has eight urban bus routes and a circular line; routes and changes are on the operator Avanza’s website, and the information office is at Calle Patricio Pérez, 17. Intercity buses run by Avanza (Costa Azul), Bam Bus and Alsa leave the central bus station for Alicante, Murcia, Elche, Cartagena and other towns.
