Habaneras, Low Festival and summer concerts
The International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest has been held in Torrevieja since 1955 and is declared of International Tourist Interest: for a week each summer, choirs from many countries perform. In 2026 the town hosted Low Festival for the first time — three days of pop, rock and indie concerts in Parque Antonio Soria. From 8 August the same park hosts the Brilla Torrevieja concert season for all ages. Programmes and tickets are on the official sites habaneras.org, lowfestival.es and brillatorrevieja.com.
Coming up: the patron saint fiestas
The town’s main fiestas in 2026 run from 28 November to 8 December: concerts, cultural events, paella contests and parades of giants and big-heads (gigantes y cabezudos). On 8 December, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, there is a solemn mass and a procession in honour of the town’s patron saint.
