First: when to call 112
If life is at risk — chest pain, signs of a stroke, heavy bleeding, loss of consciousness, a serious injury — do not drive yourself: call 112. The operator will send an ambulance and tell you what to do until it arrives. For other urgent problems, the health centres with urgent care are listed below.
Centres and opening hours
Addresses, hours and phone numbers come from each centre’s page on the Torrevieja Health Department website (Conselleria de Sanidad). “24 hours” means the centre’s page says it is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

If your centre is closed
The La Mata, San Luis and Patricio Pérez centres only see patients on weekdays from 08:00 to 21:00. Their pages say that outside these hours, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, patients should go to C.S.I. Torrevieja La Loma. According to the department, C.S.I. El Acequión in central Torrevieja is also open 24 hours.
In Mil Palmeras (municipality of Pilar de la Horadada) there is an auxiliary surgery: Mil Palmeras, 12, tel. 966 748 390, open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08:00 to 11:00. At other times its patients go to C.S.I. Pilar de la Horadada. For Orihuela Costa residents the 24-hour C.S. Orihuela Costa in Aguamarina is closer.
Torrevieja Hospital
The department’s hospital is on the CV-95 road, s/n, in Torrevieja. The Torrevieja Health Department’s single phone number is 965 695 500. Patients in a serious condition are usually referred to the hospital by a health centre or taken there by ambulance; if life is at risk, call 112.
